Good Design Long Life Design Award 2020

Since its introduction in 1983, the "TANKER" series, synonymous with PORTER, uses an original fabric developed with the motif of the US Air Force flight jacket "MA-1". The 3-layer fabric of nylon twill (surface) + polyester cotton (middle layer) + nylon taffeta (back) is very light, and the soft feel of the bonding material and the vivid rescue orange on the back are attractive. Every step of the process, from cutting to sewing and parts, expresses our thorough dedication.

There are three colors available: black, sage green, and silver gray, and the back side is a vivid rescue orange. In addition, metal fittings such as aluminum fasteners, snap buttons, saddle snap, etc., which were rare at the time, are intentionally made to peel off so that the aging will appear as they are used.

While following the specifications of the TANKER announced in 1983, we have updated every detail. In addition, TANKER 's original color "Sage Green" will be reborn as the color originally announced in 1983.
The metal zipper puller is made by pressing, and changes have been made to the color of the interior zipper puller and the specifications of the vinyl pocket. In addition, all 50 models in the series come with an original PORTER pouch.
